What keeps you motivated in times of pressure?
As the fall is approaching, we are moving into a time of 'letting go' and release. It seems like everything gets a little bit crazy and hectic around the times of transition.
So, what keeps you motivated when things get a bit crazy?
If you are not clear about your goals, your dreams, your priorities... shit can get really overwhelming because you don't have something CLEAR you are working towards.
Don't let yourself get caught in the up and down mountainous terrain of life when there are no stopping points of achievement for yourself.
You get up, get ready, cook breakfast, get your children or pets all set up for the day, go to work, come home, probably feed yourself or your family, get some downtime to work on your goals or relax, and live the same day over and over to the weekend, right?
It seems like this is MOST OF OUR LIVES. BUT...and this is a big but :) ... are you going with the motions or are you working towards something while doing this? Why are you working hard? Why are you striving for the best? What will come of this hard work?
Get clear on your whys.
I have to remind myself every day why I do what I do. I want happy, healthy, tired puppies so I strive to take them on a few long walks every day even if I am tired. I want to come home to a beautiful home so even if it means I'm cleaning everything two or three times a week I'll show up and do it without a complaint. I want my business to succeed so in my free time I am working on ways to help my clients and squeeze in a bit of self development for myself.
You and me both deserve the best. We deserve to be well rested, well fed, financially free, able to play with our children with animals and just all around thrive.
Sometimes, you gotta haul your ass through the mud to get to your goals but you will. You will get there, just make sure you know where you are going with your 'whys'. Because thats why you get up everyday even when you don't want to and thats why you kick ass in life. Thats why people are saying to you 'oh wow, you have your hands full'.
You're damn fucking right I have my hands full, I'm working towards my goals and I'm not taking no for an answer!
You fucking got this. Stay strong. Stay motivated. Keep moving towards your goals and it will pay off.
